There's a reason we love cotton so much at Fayt. This natural fibre is beautifully soft, breathable and comfortable against the skin, making it perfect for everyday dressing. Cotton is also known for its durability, making it a wonderful choice for those wardrobe staples you'll find yourself reaching for on repeat.
We recommend washing your cotton pieces in cold water on a gentle cycle, or hand washing for a little extra care. Wash with similar colours and avoid tumble drying, instead allowing your garments to air dry naturally in the shade.
As cotton is a natural fibre, it can contract when washed. Gently reshape your garment while damp to help maintain its original fit. Once dry, a gentle steam can help relax the fibres and smooth out any creases.

Denim doesn't need washing after every wear! When it's time for a refresh, turn your garment inside out and wash in cold water on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Avoid tumble drying and hang in the shade to help preserve its colour and shape.

Made from regenerated cellulose, rayon has a lovely breathable feel and creates those effortless, flowy silhouettes we all know and love.

Avoid tumble drying, as heat can cause further contraction. Once dry, a gentle steam on an appropriate setting may help relax the fibres and restore some of the fabric's beautiful drape.
There's something so beautiful about linen. Made from the fibres of the flax plant, linen is naturally breathable, lightweight and loved for its effortless, relaxed appearance. It's a favourite for warmer weather and has a gorgeous textured finish that only becomes softer with wear. And those little wrinkles? They're part of what makes linen, linen!

Knitwear needs a little extra love to keep its beautiful shape and texture. Where washing is permitted, we recommend a gentle hand wash in cool water using a detergent suitable for the fibre.
Avoid rubbing, twisting or wringing your knitwear. Instead, gently press out excess water using a clean towel, reshape while damp and lay flat in the shade to dry. Never hang wet knitwear, as the weight of the water can stretch the fabric out of shape.
For storage, we recommend folding your knits rather than hanging them. A little pilling can also occur naturally with wear, so use a fabric comb or suitable depiller gently when needed.

Fabric blends bring together the unique qualities of different materials, whether that's added stretch, softness, durability or a beautiful drape. From polyester and elastane to combinations of natural and man-made fibres, each blend is designed to offer something a little different.
Because fabric blends can contain a variety of different fibres, their care requirements can vary. Always check your garment's individual care label before washing.
For many washable blends, we recommend a cold, gentle machine wash or hand wash with similar colours. Avoid tumble drying unless the care label permits it, and allow your garments to air dry in the shade. Some synthetic fibres are particularly sensitive to high temperatures, so always use an appropriate heat setting when ironing or steaming.
For fabrics containing elastane, avoiding excessive heat can also help maintain their stretch and shape over time.

A little extra care will help keep your swimwear looking beautiful summer after summer. Rinse your swim pieces in cool, fresh water as soon as possible after each wear to help remove chlorine, salt, sunscreen and other residues.
We recommend gently hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent, avoiding rubbing, twisting or wringing the fabric. Lay flat in the shade to dry and avoid tumble drying, ironing or exposing your swimwear to excessive heat.
Be mindful of rough surfaces such as concrete pool edges, as these can cause pulling or damage to delicate swim fabrics. Avoid leaving wet swimwear bundled up for extended periods, and always ensure your pieces are completely dry before storing.

Step away from the dryer! We know, it's SO convenient, but trust us on this one. Heat can affect the shape, stretch and longevity of your clothing. Instead, air dry in the shade, laying flat where needed. A little extra effort goes a long way!

Steam, steam, steam! A gentle steam can work wonders for relaxing suitable fabrics and smoothing out creases. Just be mindful of heat-sensitive materials.
